BYJU'S leads the way as Indian unicorns shell out $6b on M&As in last 17 months

Indian unicorns have been on an acquisition spree in the past few months, in a bid to expand and scale up rapidly amid growing competition.

According to data available with research firm Venture Intelligence, Indian unicorns have already spent over $6 billion on acquisitions in the past 17 months as they look to increase their market reach and dominance. While there were a total of 129 deals in 2021 and 2022 (data available till May 31), the value of only 50 deals was disclosed.
