Government of Republic Indonesia and Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd have signed a preliminary contract worth 8.7 trillion won (around $7.4 billion) to jointly develop a new fighter jet. The projects, called KF-X, proposes to develop the KF-16-class warplane to replace the aging fleet of F-4s and F-5s by 2025.
