<article>Indonesia-based language learning portal <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://squline.com" target="_blank">Squline</a> has raised a pre-Series A round led by <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://prasetia.co.id/prasetia/">Prasetia Dwidharma</a>, a local telecommunication and infrastructure contractor, according to a <a href="https://e27.co/language-learning-platform-squline-says-ni-hao-to-pre-series-a-20160404/" target="_blank">report</a>.</article>

Indonesia-based language learning portal <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://squline.com" target="_blank">Squline</a> has raised a pre-Series A round led by <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://prasetia.co.id/prasetia/">Prasetia Dwidharma</a>, a local telecommunication and infrastructure contractor, according to a <a href="https://e27.co/language-learning-platform-squline-says-ni-hao-to-pre-series-a-20160404/" target="_blank">report</a>.
The investment, which was undisclosed, is said to be a six-digit amount (USD), the same report noted.
Squline will use the funds to further develop its product, boost recruitment efforts, and scale its business geographically.
Currently, the company&#8217;s business model revolves around offering users English and Mandarin classes via Skype sessions with native speaking tutors. It plans to offer Japanese and Bahasa Indonesia classes as well later on in the year.
According to the firm, its students come from Thailand, the US, China and the Philippines. Students can choose from four payment types, from a monthly subscription that costs $179 every month to paying $59 for four basic lessons.
The former will allow students 30 days of access to learn and attend live classes, a certification of completion, and unlimited study materials, while the latter will only allow students up to 15 days of access to four live sessions with tutors, the ability to attend up to two live classes per day and cancel one class if he or she is not able to make it.
The company also claims to be generating revenue.
