Indonesia’s Sulawesi Mining invests $1.04b for second phase of smelter plant

Industry Minister Saleh Husin and Energy and Resources Minister visited the nickel smelting plant at Morowali, South Sulawesi.

Indonesia PT Sulawesi Mining Investment (PT SMI) said it will invest approximately $1.04 billion to develop the second stage of the Nickel Pig Iron plant with capacity of 600,000 tons per annum as well as 300 megawatt (MW) of power plant to support the smelting plant.
