Close on the heels of gaining an 18.4% interest in Bank Amar, Indonesian SME lending platform Investree is looking to significantly enhance its stake and become a strategic partner in the local lender, according to a top executive.

“We are looking at a strategic partnership with the bank. Our current investment in Bank Amar will not stop at 18.4%. We are looking at being in the driving seat jointly with Tolaram Group [the majority shareholder],” Investree CEO and co-founder Adrian Gunadi told DealStreetAsia in an interaction.
