Kenanga Investors Berhad, the asset management arm of Malaysian lender Kenanga Investment Bank, has launched a new vehicle — the Frontier Fund — to invest in technology-driven companies.
The new fund aims to invest in equity securities of companies working in new technologies such as the space economy, metaverse, healthcare, fintech, and cybersecurity, where only a few investors have gone before, it said in a statement. These companies should have long-term sustainable growth potential, be on the cusp of initial public offerings (IPOs), or should be developing innovative products and services, the statement added.
