<article><a class="knx-trackable" href="http://www.keppeldcreit.com/en/" target="_blank">Keppel DC REIT</a> has agreed to acquire the <a href="http://www.keppeldcreit.com/en/" target="_blank">Intellicentre 2 (IC2) data centre</a> in Sydney for $45.2 million from <a class="knx-trackable" href="http://www.macquarietelecom.com" target="_blank">Macquarie Telecom</a>.</article>

<a class="knx-trackable" href="http://www.keppeldcreit.com/en/" target="_blank">Keppel DC REIT</a> has agreed to acquire the <a href="http://www.keppeldcreit.com/en/" target="_blank">Intellicentre 2 (IC2) data centre</a> in Sydney for $45.2 million from <a class="knx-trackable" href="http://www.macquarietelecom.com" target="_blank">Macquarie Telecom</a>.
Upon acquisition, Macquarie Telecom will enter into a lease agreement with Keppel DC REIT for an initial term of 20 years, with an option to renew for two further terms of five years each. IC2&#8217;s acquisition will bring Keppel DC REIT’s portfolio to nine data centres located across Asia Pacific and Europe, with an assets under management (AUM) value of $1.07 billion.
IC2 is a Tier III carrier-neutral data centre located within the Macquarie Business Park, a Sydney research and business park specialising in communications and information technology (IT) sectors.
Completed in 2012, IC2 has a total lettable area of 8169 sq metres and sits on 20,000 sqm of freehold land.
This acquisition will see the overall portfolio Weighted Average Lease Expiry (WALE) increase to 9.2 years. Portfolio risk will be reduced via tenant diversification.
Initially, the deal will be fully funded by debt, with the acquisition to be completed by Q3 2015.
