Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund Khazanah National Bhd is looking at significantly increasing its investments in the overseas markets over the next decade and beyond to reduce its exposure to domestic economic risks, said Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund Khazanah National Bhd in a statement to the parliament.

Over the next 10-20 years, Khazanah hopes that nearly 60-70 per cent of its assets under management would be accounted for by overseas investments. Currently, up to 80 per cent of Khazanah’s assets are in domestic industries that make them susceptible to sudden events such as policy reforms and amendments.
