The <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.kic.go.kr/en/index.jsp" target="_blank">Korea Investment Corp (KIC)</a> has hired Shin woo Kang as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO), which took effect yesterday.
Kang occupied the post vacated by Heungsik Choo who resigned last February. He is now also a member of the executive management.
Kang came off as Chief Executive Officer of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://eng.hanwhafund.co.kr/web/main/main.jsp" target="_blank">Hanwa Asset Management</a>. He has nearly 30 years of asset management industry experience in Korea.
He was also the former CIO of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.kim.co.kr/en" target="_blank">Korea Investment Management</a> and PCA Asset Management.
Kang earned his B.A. Law degree from Seoul National University.
