Global investment firms KKR and Capital Group have launched their first public‑private investment strategy for eligible investors in Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

The fund, Capital Group KKR Global Multi-Sector+ (GMS+) – which blends public and private market exposure – is introduced to Asian investors at a time when liquidity pressure is surging in what is called ‘private wealth’.

This is part of the global partnership between Capital Group and KKR to bring the public-private product mix to clients. The fund will seek to allocate approximately 60% to public credit assets managed by Capital Group and 40% to private credit assets managed by KKR.

It will offer opportunities for monthly repurchases of up to 3% of the fund, claiming to deliver liquidity above the average level seen in private credit funds.

“GMS+ is a whole-of-credit solution designed to sit between traditional bond funds and alternative investments, offering the potential for enhanced returns, lower volatility and greater diversification,” said Guy Henriques, President, Europe and Asia Pacific Client Group, Capital Group.

“Having a single access point to invest at scale across public and private markets with world-class managers is a compelling value proposition,” added Eric Mogelof, Partner and Head of Global Client Solutions at KKR.

GMS+ was set up in April 2025 and had $352.4 million in assets by the end of April.

KKR and Capital Group are also offering other products under their partnership, including another credit programme – the $229.3-million Capital Group KKR Core Plus+.

Their equity fund, Capital Group KKR U.S. Equity+, managed $108.2 million in assets as of the end of April.

The firms said earlier that they planned to launch a public-private real asset strategy in late 2026.
