Kopi Kenangan looks to keep a lid on costs with sip of upstream business

Indonesian coffee chain and unicorn Kopi Kenangan is planning to expand into upstream business segments by setting up its own coffee roastery. The move is part of attempts to fend off inflationary pressures.

In a recent interview with DealStreetAsia, Kopi Kenangan’s CEO and co-founder Edward Tirtanata also shared his company’s ambitious global expansion plans and the challenges it faced.
