In the latest people moves, Kotak’s i-banking unit has appointed Nitin Pasricha as executive director and head of industrials and automotive verticals while ChrysCapital Advisors LLP has appointed former State Bank of India chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya as an advisor.

Kotak Mahindra Capital appoints ED

Kotak Mahindra Capital Company (Kotak Investment Banking) on Wednesday announced that it has appointed Nitin Pasricha as executive director and head of industrials and automotive practices.

Pasricha joined Kotak from KPMG India last month, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions advisory (origination and execution), private equity and valuations with a focus on north markets coverage, according to his LinkedIn profile. Pasricha started his career with KPMG in 1997, and held the position of executive director at the time of leaving the company.

In his new role at Kotak, Pasricha will head transactions involving raising funds, mergers and acquisitions advisory, private equity for industrials and automotive companies. He will also oversee key client relationships in the sector for Kotak Investment Banking, according to a statement.

He is an economics graduate from Delhi University and an MBA (finance) from Melbourne Business School.

ChrysCapital hires Arundhati Bhattacharya as advisor

India-focused private equity firm ChrysCapital Advisors LLP has appointed former State Bank of India chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya as an advisor, reported The Economic Times.

The development comes close on the heels of the media reports that Bhattacharya may join the board of Piramal Enterprises.

At ChrysCapital, Bhattacharya will be working with the firm’s managing partner Kunal Shroff and other partners, and will advise on firm’s strategy and investments.

Established in 1999, ChrysCapital manages approximately $3 billion worth assets across seven funds.
