PE firms see opportunities in SE Asia's late-stage tech funding gap

Southeast Asia’s late-stage technology funding — i.e Series C stage and beyond — is acutely starved of funds. The silver lining, though, is that this gap presents immense opportunities for private equity firms that are now beginning to warm up to more technology deals.

The region faces a $1.1 billion annual deficit in growth equity for technology development, estimates Nick Nash, co-founder and managing partner at Asia Partners.
