In two separate venture capital deals in China, Legend Capital has backed publishing house Dook Book, while GGV Capital has led Series A in drone solutions provider Clobotics.

<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Legend+Capital" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Legend Capital</a> led a $18 million Series A round in Dook Book, a digital publishing, new media, and film investment company based in Shanghai.
Venture capital companies <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Zhihe+Capital" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Zhihe Capital</a>, <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Neixiang+Fund" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Neixiang Fund</a>, and other Chinese investors also participated in the round, the China Money Network <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.chinamoneynetwork.com/2017/06/26/legend-leads-18m-round-in-chinese-publishing-house-dook-book" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a>.
Founded in 2006, Dook Book has been producing bestseller books for over a decade with its network of top authors. Its company value is now pegged at $290 million.
Dook Book reportedly produces one book each year with more than a million of copies sold.
Legend made the investment seeing China&#8217;s cultural sector as a source of valuable intellectual property.

<a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Clobotics" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Clobotics</a>, a Shanghai-based drones solutions provider, raised an undisclosed sum of investments in its Series A round led by venture capital firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=GGV+Capital" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GGV Capital</a>.
Founded in 2016, Clobotics specialises in machine vision for drones and industrial big data.
A China Money Network <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.chinamoneynetwork.com/2017/06/26/ggv-leads-new-funding-round-in-chinese-drone-solutions-provider-clobotics" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">report</a> said Clobotics&#8217;s drone-based industrial data analytics technology can be applied in a number of fields, including security, mining, surveying, mapping, energy and environment.
The startup&#8217;s cloud computing and big data platform involves drones for flight control and mission planning, computer vision and image processing, and data analytics.
