Malaysia's Maybank triples size of sukuk bond programme to $7.1b

Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has expanded its 10-billion ringgit sukuk programme to up to 30 billion ringgit ($7.12 billion) in nominal value, it said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday.

The bank said it had on June 30 expanded the Islamic bond programme established in 2016, revising certain terms and conditions to reflect amendments consequential to the expansion, and incorporating updates to comply with the latest securities guidelines.
