Malaysia's Maybank starts Myanmar ops with branch in Yangon

In its bid to expand its regional and global reach, Malaysia’s Maybank Group has formally announced  the opening of its first branch in Yangon, Myanmar. The bank, which has a registered capital of $75 million, plans to focus on transaction banking, corporate lending and treasury services in the country.
