Myanmar dealbook: ANZ to open branch in Yangon; Japan gives $700k for circular train; Wood-based industrial zone to come up

The Mynamar central bank has allowed Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) to set up operations in Yangon while the Japanese government is financing over $700,000 for Yangon’s circular train facility. The government is also in talks with Chinese counterparts to set up a wood-based industrial zone to combat illegal trading.
