Southeast Asian private equity firm Northstar Group is expecting to hit the first close of its fifth fund at up to $400 million in the first half of this year, according to co-founder and managing partner Patrick Walujo.

In an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the DealStreetAsia Indonesia PE-VC Summit 2020, Walujo confirmed that Northstar was targeting a total corpus of $800 million for its new fund, as we had reported back in August of last year. The first close, he said, is likely to be 40-50 per cent of the total fund size.
