OJK temporarily halts registration of new fintech firms in Indonesia

Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) has temporarily halted the registration process for all new fintech firms, as the industry is growing faster than what OJK can monitor at the moment, the regulator said.

OJK commissioner for non-bank financial industry Riswinandi told reporters that the temporary halt would give the regulator time to supervise and ensure higher industry quality.
