Crypto exchange OKX plans to apply for virtual asset licence in HK

Crypto exchange major OKX  has announced plans to set up an entity to launch virtual asset services in Hong Kong.

The Seychelles-based firm said it intends to apply for the virtual asset service provider (VASP) licence under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Ordinance 2022, which take effect on June 1, 2023.
