<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.pae.co.th/" target="_blank">PAE (Thailand) Pcl</a>,  Thailand- based engineering and construction solution provider, announced that it had acquired a 67.77 per cent stake in PPS Energy and Marine Co (PPS) for 82.14 million baht ($2.52 million).
PPS is a water manufacturer and seller, the main customers of which are Chiang Mai’s province municipality and industrial estates such as <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.amata.com/" target="_blank">Amata Industrial Estate</a>. Its paid-up capital is 150 million baht, consisting of 1.5 million shares at a par value of 100 baht apiece.
PAE’s executive director Ratchai Pichayapoom said that the acquisition is part of company’s long-term investment as it wants to diversify into the business that that provides higher margin and revenue growth.

The company expects to have a minimum return on investment of 20 per cent within two years.
Ratchai added that the revenue in 2014 should hit the target at 1.2 billion baht. It is also looking for more investment opportunities this year, focusing on renewable energy business including solar and wind energy, water recycling, and energy-related innovation.
