In the latest people moves, PayU India Managing Director Jitendra Gupta has put in papers while Shine.com has appointed Madhukar Kumar as its Chief Analytics Officer. Meanwhile, three lawyers from Argus Partners have quit the firm to set up their own practice.
PayU India MD Jitendra Gupta resigns
Digital payments firm PayU India Managing Director Jitendra Gupta has put in papers after serving the company for about three years.
Gupta resigned last week and is expected to start his own venture later this year, The Economic Times reported. He will most likely be replaced by Pallav Jain, country head of PayU Finance, which runs the pay later product LazyPay.
Gupta was the co-founder and CEO of digital payment startup Citrus Pay, which was later acquired by South African internet and media group Naspers in September 2016. Since then, he has been spearheading the combined entity, PayU India, as its MD.
Shine.com names new Chief Analytics Officer
Job portal Shine.com has appointed Madhukar Kumar as its Chief Analytics Officer.
With over 13 years of experience across data sciences, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and consulting domains, Madhukar plans to build a robust data science team to enhance Shine.com’s candidate and recruiter experience.
With the rapid growth of its active candidate database of almost 40%, Shine has grown faster than the industry standards over the past two years. To continue to fuel this growth and further strengthen its product, the company has been on a hiring spree and recruiting top industry talent over the past two years, it said in a statement.
Three lawyers at Argus Partners quit
Argus Partners’ three lawyers have quit the firm to set up their own practice, Bar & Bench reported on Friday. These are senior partner Siddharth Raja, equity partner Aditya Narayan and partner Megha Malhotra Narayan.
Raja had joined Argus Partners in 2016 as senior partner and national executive director of the firm in Bangalore. He specialises in M&A, private equity & venture capital investments, banking & corporate finance.
The other two had also merged their practice with Argus in Bangalore in 2016.
