Credit Suisse has appointed Mervyn Chow to lead its Greater China operations while real estate advisory JLL has hired ex-Morgan Stanley executive Martijn van Eldik. In another people movement, Source Code Capital has named Huang Yungang as a partner.
Credit Suisse elevates Greater China Head
Credit Suisse has elevated Mervyn Chow, currently co-head of investment banking and capital markets in Asia, to lead the firm’s Greater China operations, according to his Linkedin profile.
Chow joined the bank in 1998 as a managing director of the equity capital markets division.
Besides handling Greater China operations, he will also continue to serve his current responsibilities as co-head of investment banking & capital markets Asia Pacific.
Meanwhile, Carsten Stoehr, the Swiss bank’s head of financing in Asia, will also join the board of Credit Suisse subsidiaries in Hong Kong.
JLL appoints ex-Morgan Stanley exec
JLL, a global real estate firm, has appointed ex-Morgan Stanley executive Martijn van Eldik as new head of funds advisory for the Asia Pacific.
Before Morgan Stanley, he worked with ING Real Estate Investment Management and CBRE Global Investors at senior positions.
In his role at JLL, he will report to Stuart Crow, head of Asia Pacific Capital Markets, and Attolico, head of the funds advisory team globally, and will be based in Singapore.
China’s VC firm Source Code Capital hires new partner
“With Yungang joining our team, Source Code will be able to enhance its investments in the early and middle stages of the new economy, as well as improve post-investment services,” said Cao Yi, founding partner of Source Code.
At Matrix, his focus was on the mobile Internet, e-commerce, enterprise services and online education sectors as a managing director.
