People Digest: HarbourVest appoints Australia principal; M&G names Asia head

HarbourVest Partners has appointed Warwick Mancini as principal while M&G Investments has appointed its head of Asia business.

HarbourVest appoints principal  in Australia and NZ

HarbourVest Partners has appointed Warwick Mancini as a principal overseeing investor relations in Australia and New Zealand, AVCJ reported. He will be based in Hong Kong.

With 25 years of experience in the industry, he was previously a director with Challenger Investment Partners in Australia.

His responsibilities at Challenger included global investor and consultant relations for sourcing co-investment capital and for originating and executing transactions across the fixed income, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate sectors, HarbourVest said.

HarbourVest is an independent, global private markets investment specialist with over $64 billion in assets under management, as of June 30, 2019.

M&G Investments appoints Asia business head

M&G Investments, a part of international savings and investment business M&GPrudential, has appointed Loretta Ng as head of its Asia business effective November 1, 2019.

In her new role at M&G, she will be based in Singapore and will report to Joffy Willcocks, M&G’s Head of Distribution for asset management, and Chief International Officer, Graham Mason.

Before joining M&G Investments, Ng worked for Eastspring Investments where she has served as CEO of Eastspring Taiwan since 2011.

Prior to this, she was Chief Marketing Officer of Eastspring Taiwan, and Head of Product, Marketing and Business Operations for Eastspring Singapore. She also served on the board of Eastspring’s asset management joint venture in China for three years.

“We are delighted to welcome Loretta Ng as M&G Head of Asia.  This is a great step forward for our business in Asia as we continue to invest for long term strategic growth in the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China,” said Mason.

M&G Investments is part of M&GPrudential, an international savings and investment business which was formed in August 2017 by our parent company, Prudential plc.
