Standard Chartered has hired two senior bankers for its private banking unit, while Chubb Life has appointed a new Chief Marketing Officer in Hong Kong.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Standard Chartered hires two senior bankers</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Standard+Chartered+">Standard Chartered</a> added two more senior bankers to its private banking unit, according to the bank’s statement.
Andrew Ho will join the bank as managing director and market head in Indonesia, while Vishal Jain will be hired as managing director and market head for Global South Asia Community Asia.
Both of them will be based in Singapore and start in the office in November. They will report to Srinivas Siripurapu, Regional Head, Private Banking, ASEAN and South Asia (ASA) and Global Head, Global South Asia Community (GSAC).
Ho worked for <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=ubs">UBS</a> for 15 years and his most recent position was Country Team Head of Indonesia.
Jain was with Barclays for more than eight years at <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Barclays">Barclays</a> before joining Standard Chartered. His last position was managing director leading a team of 40 RMs across the India Private Banking business. Jain will lead the Asia-based GSAC team which is a key cornerstone for building out the global NRI strategy at Standard Chartered.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Chubb Life names new CMO</h3>
Chubb Life, the global life insurance division of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=chubb">Chubb</a>, appointed Ben Ng as chief marketing officer and a member of the Executive Committee of its Hong Kong operation.
With more than 20 year experience in life insurance industry, Ng will lead the corporate strategy, marketing and product development teams in Hong Kong as well as provide assistance in planning local company strategies.
He was most recently Assistant Vice President of Product Development and Management team at FWD Life Insurance. Prior to joining FWD, he had worked for Zurich Life Insurance, AXA China, AIA China Region and Winterthur Life.
