In recent executive appointments in Asia, Starwood Capital has appointed Kevin Lee as head of its real estate business in Asia, while real estate agency Knight Frank has roped in Daniel Ding as Singapore head of investment and capital market.
Starwood Capital appoints Kevin Lee as head of its real estate business in Asia
Dallas-based private equity firm Starwood Capital Group has appointed Kevin Lee as the managing director and head of real estate business for Asia, according to a report in Mingtiandi.
Lee is replacing Starwood’s former managing director Kevin Colket who left the firm in October last year.
Prior to his role at Starwood, Lee served as managing director at Lone Star Funds for almost five years and at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for three years.
His current role at Starwood marked his return at the firm where he spent seven years from 2004 to 2011. Lee, who graduated from UCLA, began his career as an associate at PwC.
Starwood has $60 billion in assets under management globally.
Knight Frank ropes in Daniel Ding as SG head of investment and capital markets
Property developer and real estate agency Knight Frank has appointed Daniel Ding as the Singapore head of investment and capital markets for Land, Building & Global Real Estate. The appointment is effective in January 2020.
He has an experience of 20 years in the real estate business. Prior to his role at Knight Frank, he served at Soilbuild Construction Group for seven years, with his latest role as the group CEO.
Ding will lead cross border transaction activities at the firm. He will report to the firm’s Singapore managing director Wendy Tang.
