HarbourVest Partners has promoted Till Burges as the Managing Director, Primary Investments in Hong Kong along with a host of other promotions for 2017 while fund administrator Augentius has appointed Jimmy Leong as managing director for Asia.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">HarbourVest Partners Till Burges as MD in Asia</h3>
Private markets investor HarbourVest Partners announced its promotion list for 2017 which includes one in Asia &#8211; Till Burges &#8211; who has been appointed as the Managing Director, Primary Investments in Hong Kong.
The list includes six Managing Directors, six Principals and four Senior Vice Presidents, an announcement said earlier.
&#8220;These promotions recognize team members whose expertise contributes to the success of HarbourVest and its clients across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. HarbourVest also continued to invest in the growth of its team through the promotion of seven Vice Presidents,&#8221; the announcement said.
Till Burges, an investment manager (Principle) at HarbourVest since August 2017 is currently based in Hong Kong and is focused on primary investments in buyout and venture capital funds in Asia and Europe, according to LinkedIn.
He is sitting on a number of Investor Advisory Boards and works on sourcing and working on secondary and co-investment opportunities. Before joining HarbourVest, which has more than $45 billion in assets under management, Burges has also worked with Bain and Co.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Augentius gets new Asia head</h3>
Independent Private Equity and real estate administrator Augentius has appointed Jimmy Leong as managing director for Asia.
The appointment follows the departure of Alexander Traub who took a position at Alter Domus as the Head of Asia Pacific and Member of the Group Executive Board, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Based in Singapore at Augentius, he was responsible for its business in Asia comprising of three fully operational service centres in the region. He was also member of the group executive committee.
