MBK Partners has promoted Bryan Byungsuk Min to partner while Labuan IBFC has appointed Farah Jaafar-Crossby as its new CEO.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">MBK promotes Bryan Min as HK Partner</h3>
North Asian private equity firm MBK Partners has promoted Bryan Byungsuk Min to a partner from his earlier position as a managing director and COO.
According to MBK&#8217;s website, Min as a partner based in Hong Kong serves on the board of Homeplus.
After joining MBK Partners in 2005, Min served as the firm&#8217;s managing director in Seoul from 2013 to 2016. Later in 2016, he moved to Hong Kong.
Before joining MBK Partners, Min worked at Olympus Capital Holdings Asia. Prior to Olympus, he was with UBS Capital Asia Pacific in Seoul. He has a degree in BS from Yale University and an MA from Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Labuan IBFC appoints new CEO</h3>
Labuan International Business and Financial Centre Incorporated (Labuan IBFC Inc), the official promotion and marketing agency for Malaysia&#8217;s midshore jurisdiction, has appointed Farah Jaafar-Crossby as its new CEO.
Farah, who currently heads the Marketing Intelligence and Strategic Communications unit assumed the role on January 1, Labuan IBFC said in an announcement last week.
With years of experience in financial services from both onshore and offshore perspectives, she will assume the leadership role to promote Labuan IBFC.
A law graduate from University of Sheffield, she was previously General Manager of the Association of Stock Broking Companies Malaysia, and has worked with the Bursa Malaysia as well as the Asian Institute of Finance.
