Max&#8217;s acquires SG firm for $1m
Listed Filipino restaurant Max&#8217;s Group Inc (MGI) reported on Thursday that it was acquiring a Singapore-based business management consultancy services firm Global Max Services Pte Ltd, for over $1 million.
Global Max&#8217;s acquisition by MGI was in relation to the integration of the corporate entities comprising the Max&#8217;s Group of companies which was first disclosed to the stock exchange last June 30, 2014.
Under payment terms, MGI will acquire 50 per cent ($503,000) of Global Max&#8217;s upon signing of agreement, and 25 per cent ($251,500) each by the months of June and December this year.
&#8220;Such an acquisition will enable the company to benefit from certain cost and operation,&#8221; MGI said in a statement.
At present, the integrated Max&#8217;s Group Inc (formerly Pancake House Inc) is composed of Pancake House, Maple, Dencio’s, Kabisera ng Dencio’s, and Singkit, all engaged in food business.
Aboitiz Equity raises $6.2m from sale of treasury shares
Public holding and management company <a href="http://www.aboitiz.com/" target="_blank">Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (AEV)</a> gained $6.2 million (P276.6 million) from treasury sales, reported the <a href="http://www.inquirer.net/" target="_blank">Philippine Daily Inquirer</a>.
AEV disclosed to the stock exchange on Wednesday that it had placed out 5.085 million common shares at P54.40 apiece. Its board authorized the selling of treasury shares pegged at 50 million. The conglomerate still has about 28.2 million shares it can sell to raise funds for its business prospects, the report added.
ICTSI recovers $229.8-million securities, target 30% short
International Container Terminal Services Inc. (<a href="http://www.ictsi.com/" target="_blank">ICTSI</a>), through its offshore subsidiary Royal Capital BV, has recovered $229.8 million worth of 8.375 per cent yield securities yesterday after coming out 30 per cent short of its $350 million bond yields target.
&#8220;Security holders with an aggregate principal amount of $229,841,000 tendered their Existing Securities on or prior to the Expiration Deadline at a tender price of $1,076.25 per $1 in principal amount of the Existing Securities,&#8221; the port operator said in a statement.
ICTSI said security holders who tendered their existing securities for purchase will be paid the tender price and the accrued distribution payment on January 29 in accordance with the provisions of the tender offer memorandum.
Citigroup Global Markets Limited and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited acted as dealer managers for the transaction while Citibank NA acted as tender and information agent for the tender offer.
