Indonesian healthcare portal <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://pilihdokter.com/" target="_blank">PilihDokter</a> has received funding from global healthcare tech company <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://ring.md/" target="_blank">RingMD </a>and will be rebranded as RingMD Indonesia.</article>

Indonesian healthcare portal <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://pilihdokter.com/" target="_blank">PilihDokter</a> has received funding from global healthcare tech company <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://ring.md/" target="_blank">RingMD </a>and will be rebranded as RingMD Indonesia.
PilihDokter, an Indonesian healthcare information portal providing question-answer sessions about health problems, information about illness’ symptoms and databases on doctors and hospitals in Indonesia, has received funding in excess of $1 million from RingMD. As part of this funding, the PilikDokter will be rebranded as doctrr.id, with a website redesign scheduled for completion in mid-April 2015.
Healthcare portals in Indonesia are a growing vertical, providing consumers with additional information supplementing feedback from their doctors itself. PilihDokter bridges the gap between consumers seeking the nearest doctors and hospitals within Indonesia, while educating patients on their medical condition.
RingMD is a platform connecting patients to direct consultations with listed doctors from around the world, through a combination of online, phone or video communication options.
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://id.linkedin.com/in/gracetahir/en" target="_blank">Grace Tahir</a>, co-founder of PilihDokter and a director of Mayapada Hospital, commented: “RingMD has a terrific platform for connecting doctors and patients, and this will help the entire spectrum of the healthcare industry in Indonesia by providing better care and reducing bottlenecks. We are very pleased to be working with the team at RingMD.”
PilihDokter plans to invest the funds in expanding their workforce and marketing efforts, educating consumers about <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/consumer-health/in-depth/telehealth/art-20044878" target="_blank">telehealth</a> and its applications. A series of roadshows are planned for hospitals, medical schools and healthcare providers outside Jakarta, in line with Tahir&#8217;s vision of accessible, affordable healthcare to more Indonesians.
