Piston, a cardless payments platform, has raised $15 million in its Series A funding round while Graph AI, a developer of the graph safety AI-native patient safety platform, has secured $13.3 million in fresh funding.
Piston raises $15m led by FPV Ventures
Piston, a cardless payments platform that connects commercial fleets and gas stations, has raised $15 million in its Series A funding round led by FPV Ventures.
Existing investors Spark Capital and Pear VC also joined the round, according to a company statement.
The financing brings Piston’s total capital raised to $22.5 million.
Piston will use the new capital to accelerate the national build-out of its payments network, advance product development, and add senior leaders across key areas of the business. Over the next 18 months, the company also aims to establish coverage across every U.S. region. The expansion will also lay the groundwork for Piston to move beyond fuel into broader logistics payments infrastructure.
“Commercial fuel still runs on payment technology built for another era,” said Vikram Sekhon, co-founder and CEO of Piston. “Fleet fuel fraud is a physical card problem, disguised as a detection issue. We removed the card and built a network that authorizes every purchase for a specific driver and vehicle at the point of sale. This round lets us expand that infrastructure until no commercial driver has to ask whether a station accepts Piston.”
Insight Partners leads $13.3m funding in Graph AI
Graph AI, a developer of the graph safety AI-native patient safety platform, on Thursday announced that it has raised $13.3 million in its Series A financing round led by Insight Partners.
The funding also saw participation from existing investor Bessemer Venture Partners, the company said in a statement.
Founded in 2024, Graph AI was created to address the operational inefficiencies and regulatory complexity facing modern pharmacovigilance and patient safety teams. Graph Safety combines AI with deterministic controls, validation layers, and end-to-end audit trails designed for regulated pharmacovigilance environments.
“Pharmacovigilance has traditionally scaled against rising case volumes by adding people and processes around legacy systems. We believe intelligence can change that. Graph Safety gives safety experts an intelligent system that takes on operational complexity, while keeping traceability, accountability, and human oversight at the center. We are not replacing human judgment—we are building technology that allows experts to apply it where it matters most,” said Raghav Parvataraju, CEO, Graph AI.
