Probe at Zilingo highlights corporate governance issues at startups

The recent events at Singapore-headquartered fashion marketplace Zilingo, which stirred up the risk capital industry, have raised several questions over governance issues at venture-backed private companies.

Investors and industry professionals DealStreetAsia spoke to have noted that while companies’ management is to be held accountable for issues that arise in the business, investors in a company, as well as the directors on the board, also have oversight responsibilities.
