Quadria Capital planning separate VC fund to invest in SE Asian startups

Healthcare-focused private equity (PE) firm Quadria Capital is looking to launch a separate venture capital (VC) fund to invest exclusively in the burgeoning startup ecosystem of Southeast Asia.

The firm, that has so far invested in countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore in Southeast Asia, besides India in South Asia, could raise about $100 million for the VC fund, said its managing partner Amit Varma at the DealStreetAsia Asia PE-VC Summit 2021, during a fireside chat – The “next big” opportunities unfolding in the life sciences space.
