NASDAQ-listed <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://remax.com" target="_blank">RE/MAX</a>, a franchisor of real estate brokerage services, intends to grow and expand its international presence throughout Asia, with a planned expansion in Myanmar. 
The firm already maintains operations in the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. As master franchises and regions are sold and offices open, the RE/MAX brand is intent of providing international buyers new real estate opportunities in China, Mongolia and Japan. This is especially relevant as the <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.lek.com/sites/default/files/1213_ASEANSpotlight_WEB.pdf" target="_blank">ASEAN middle class expands</a>.
In February 2015, RE/MAX sold master franchise RE/MAX Mongolia to principal directors Batbaatar Narantuya and Bujinkham Bold, who are seeking to professionalise the unregulated Mongolian real estate market.
In May 2015, master franchise RE/MAX Japan sold its second regional franchise, RE/MAX Kansai, to the current owner of RE/MAX Osaka, Kazuya Moto-oka, who will serve as owner of both regional franchises.
