<a href="http://www.comseven.com/" target="_blank">Comseven International Co,</a> a leading IT retail chain, is planning an initial public offering (IPO) next month with an issue of 300 million shares, at par value of 0.25 baht per share.
The company is hoping to get listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in the second half of 2015 and has appointed Asia Plus Securities as financial advisor and underwriter for the IPO.
Comseven has a paid-up registered capital of 225 million baht. After the IPO, it will increase to 300 million baht ($9.15 million). Current at par value of 100 baht per share will be transformed to 0.25 baht, with a total 900 million shares.
Sura Kanitthaveekul, chief executive of Comseven International, said that the funds raised from the IPO will be used to expand its business in both domestic and overseas markets.
In 2015, the company has budgeted 450 million baht ($13.71 million) to add 66 new branches to its current 301 branches. The new branches will include 21 branches of <a href="http://www.bananait.com/" target="_blank">BaNANA IT</a>, 13 branches of BaNANA Mobile, 22 branches of <a href="http://maccomseven.com/" target="_blank">iStudio,</a> eight branches of iBeat By Comseven and two branches of Samsung Shop.
It will spend 100 million baht ($3.05 million) on renovating 10 branches of iStudio to accommodate advanced-technology products, which will be placed on market next year.
“We are also studying investments in other ASEAN countries, focusing on Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. We have opened one branch of BaNANA IT in Myanmar, but we need to consider carefully before putting more investment abroad,” he said.
Moreover, the company is stepping into e-commerce retail business by launching the website called mangoshopping.com, operated by its subsidiary Mango Shopping Company. It targets to generate the revenue of 30 million baht in the second half of this year, he said.
The company expects to reach its revenue target at 14 billion baht ($426.82 million) this year, and plans to boost it targets by 15-20 per cent for next year, courtesy distribution channel expansion and launching of new products.
