<a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.northerntrust.com" target="_blank">Northern Trust Corporation</a> has named <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://au.linkedin.com/pub/rohan-singh/37/ba0/811" target="_blank">Rohan Singh</a> as head of its Singapore and the South East Asia regions, to help drive growth across Asia-Pacific.
Northern Trust is a provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking solutions to corporations, institutions, affluent families and high net worth individuals (HNIs).
As of 1Q 2015, Northern Trust had <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.wikinvest.com/stock/Bank_of_America_(BAC)/Assets_Custody_Consist_Largely_Custodial_Non-discretionary_Trust_Administered" target="_blank">assets under custody (AUC)</a> of $6.1 trillion, and assets under management (AUM) of $960.1 billion.
The firm operates a network of nine offices across the Asia-Pacific, in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and South Korea.
A full-service provider to the APAC market, it specialises in providing solutions for institutional clients, including investment accounting and tax, unit registry services, investment operations outsourcing, and specialised custody solutions.
Assuming the role from 1 September 2015, Singh will be responsible for driving Northern Trust’s asset servicing and asset management business activities across Southeast Asia, with focus on offering its range of customisable asset servicing and asset management solutions to sophisticated institutional investors.
Singh was most recently based in Northern Trust’s Melbourne office where, as Australia and New Zealand country head, he led the growth and expansion of the office, doubling assets under custody and growing employee numbers by 80 percent.
Prior to this, Singh was head of asset servicing sales for the APAC region and was based in Singapore.
