Tencent-backed ride-sharing startup Ruqi Mobility nets $153m in Series A round

Ruqi Mobility, a ride-sharing platform backed by Tencent and Chinese state-owned automaker GAC Group, has raked in over 1 billion yuan ($152.6 million) in a Series A round to accelerate the commercialisation of its robo-taxi service, the startup announced on Tuesday.

The Series A round was led by existing backer GAC Group, a traditional auto manufacturer that is boosting its presence in autonomous driving vehicles.
