SE Asia's internet economy poised to touch $1t by 2030 as region enters digital decade

Southeast Asia’s Internet economy is poised to reach as high as $1 trillion by 2030 as the region enters a digital decade, according to the e-Conomy SEA 2021 report.

Southeast Asia’s $170 billion tech gross merchant value (GMV) in 2021 represented a 49% jump over 2020. The GMV is poised to surpass previous estimates by the report’s authors – Google, Temasek and Bain & Co – to reach $360 billion by 2025.
