There continues to be an acute shortage of capital in Series C and D stages in Southeast Asia but the funding gap with China has narrowed this year from a year earlier, according to Nick Nash, co-founder and managing partner of Singapore-based PE firm Asia Partners.
In his keynote presentation on the second day of DealStreetAsia’s Asia PE-VC Summit 2022 in Singapore, Nash said there remains a Series C and Series D funding gap of about $900 million for Southeast Asia to catch up with China.
