Mythic Protocol raises seed round led by Alpha JWC, Shima Capital
Mythic Protocol has raised $6.5 million in a seed funding round led by Web3-focused venture capital firm Shima Capital and Indonesia-based Alpha JWC.
Other investors who participated in the round included GDP Venture, Saison Capital, Planetarium Labs, Arcane Group, Presto Labs, MARBLEX, EMURGO Ventures, and HYPERITHM.
The company will use the funding to develop and launch its initial core products; a cross-play multiplatform game RIFTSTORM for gamers; data collection and collaborative source for creators called Decentralized Universal Meta (on Blockchain) – DUMB; and a collaborative set of digital asset classes called LEGACY for investors.
Founded by executives in the gaming industry, Arief Widhiyasa (founder of Agate) and Igor Tanzil (former CMO & CCO of Agate and founder of Critical Forge), Mythic Protocol consists of 130 team members spread across the world, including veterans from the creative and technology industries such as Caravan Studio, Microsoft, Samsung, Intel, and Symantec.
The team aims to build a ‘collaborative entertainment’ ecosystem that provides unique experiences for investors, creators, and consumers.
RegenX bags pre-seed funding from Wavemaker Impact
RegenX has secured $500,000 in pre-seed funding from climate tech venture builder Wavemaker Impact.
RegenX is a platform that makes it easy for food buyers to source ingredients directly from farmers.
“The crux of having a sustainable agrifood production system is to make regenerative agriculture more profitable for farmers than conventional agriculture and to do so in a commercially viable way. Though it may seem deceptively simple, executing has always been a huge challenge. But we are now proving that it can be done,” said Bao Nguyen, founder and CEO of RegenX.
The company is already onboarding farmers and buyers on its platform and will use the fresh funding to accelerate its growth in the coffee space in Vietnam.
