Sequoia Capital India has, along with co-investors, invested a total of $60 million in 20 early-stage startups that form part of the sixth cohort of Surge, its startup accelerator programme.
The sixth batch of Surge is the most geographically diverse cohort yet, with entrants from new markets like Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan, according to the announcement. About 60% of the startups in the sixth cohort are building for global markets from day one, Sequoia added.
