Sequoia China launches new economy infrastructure fund

Tech bellwether Sequoia Capital China on Thursday announced that it has set up a new vehicle – Sequoia China Infrastructure Fund (SCIF) – to bet on the country’s new economy infrastructure businesses.

Global alternative asset manager Brookfield has come in as the largest limited partner (LP) in the fund. Aside from the capital injection, Brookfield has also forged a strategic partnership with Sequoia China to champion new economy infrastructure businesses in China, according to a company statement.
