Singapore-based logistics software firm <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/Yojee/">Yojee</a>, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), has raised AUD8 million ($5.9 million) in a share placement to institutional investors.
According to its announcement, Yojee issued 80 million shares at an issue price of $0.10 per share as part of the oversubscribed placement.
The company said proceeds will be used to build out Asia Pacific marketplaces. It will also be used to fund customer acquisition and technology development.
“The share placement proceeds will enable Yojee to confidently capitalize on the enormous market opportunities for its software, maintain its leadership in smart logistics optimization technologies and continue to develop its existing commercial relationships with industry leaders such as UPS and DB Schenker,” said Yojee managing director Ed Clarke in a statement.
Yojee focuses on developing a sharing-economy based logistics technology platform in the Asia-Pacific region. It develops software that enables logistics providers to automate their business and offers real-time tracking, pickup, and delivery confirmation, invoicing, job management, driver rating, and other related features.
In August last year, Yojee raised $2.5 million (A$3.06 million) via an oversubscribed share placement.
