In a few startup funding updates from Singapore, prop-tech firm Propseller has raised $0.7 million in seed funding while analytics firm Milieu Insight has secured around $731,000.

Singapore-based prop-tech startup Propseller has closed a $0.7 million (S$1 million) seed funding round from industry entrepreneurs and senior executives.
Its investors include Yang Bin Kwok, founder of Zopim; Erwan Mace, founders of Muslim Pro; PJ Vandepitte, Global COO of Foodpanda; Yvan de Rham, former chairman of Sotheby’s International Realty for Switzerland.
According to a statement, the funding will be used to transform available data sets into clear recommendations for consumers. Propseller is an online marketplace allowing property sellers and landlords find and compare the best property agents.The company uses clients’ reviews, historical transactions and commission rates to match users with the right agents.
Analytics firm Milieu Insight raises around $731k
Singapore-based Milieu Insight, a consumer data and analytics company, has raised $731,000 (S$1 million) in a seed round led by private investors including Ravi Ravulaparthi, former director of Rippledot Capital.
According to an official statement, the proceeds will be used to further the firm’s product development and grow its teams in Singapore and Thailand.
Milieu Insight collects data through its mobile app allowing users to take short surveys in exchange for redeemable points for rewards. It aims to disrupt the market research industry with a focus on user experience.
Founded in December 2016, Milieu is led by Gerald Ang, an industry veteran who previously held senior positions at GfK and YouGov.
