Singapore's EDBI backs $100m Series B in air taxi startup Joby Aviation

Joby Aviation, an electric mobility enterprise based in Santa Cruz, California, has closed a $100-million Series B financing round led by Intel Capital and joined by Singapore’s EDBI, JetBlue Technology Ventures, and Toyota AI Ventures.

New investors Allen & Company, AME Cloud Ventures and Ron Conway, and existing investors Capricorn Investment Group, 8VC, Sky Dayton and Paul Sciarra also participated in the round. A previously unannounced Series A financing round led by Capricorn Investment in 2016 brings aggregate equity funding in Joby Aviation to more than $130 million.
