Katrina Group has formed a joint venture with Ajisen China while SGInnovate has partnered SC Angels to grow the space for logistics startups.
<h3>Katrina Group forms JV with Ajisen China</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/katrina-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Katrina Group Ltd</a>, which is into multi-cuisine concepts and restaurant operations, has formed a joint venture with Big Benefit Group Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ajisen (China) Holdings Limited.
The Group will hold 30 per cent stake in the JV &#8211; So Pho International Limited &#8211; which will manage and operate restaurants, snack bars, cafes, cafeterias, canteens, bar services, self-service restaurants, which serve Vietnamese-style dishes under Katrina’s “So Pho” brand in China and Hong Kong.
Alan Goh, Founder, CEO and Executive Chairman of Katrina, said, “this collaboration will extend our geographical reach in China and help us enter the Hong Kong market. &#8221;
<h3>SGInnovate partners with SC Angels</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/sc-angels" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Supply Chain Angels (SC Angels)</a>, the corporate venture arm of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/ych-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">YCH Group</a>, and <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/sginnovate" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">SGInnovate</a>, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the intent of grooming local startups in the logistics industry.
The MOU is part of the Singapore government’s Smart Logistics initiative to realise the establishment of a cutting-edge logistics network.
The collaboration is aimed at discovering opportunities for the co-innovation and deployment of technology in solving challenging problems in the logistics sector. Such technologies may include applied innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, autonomous technology, drones, smart sensors, and data analytics, among others. 
Beyond mentorship, SGInnovate will share its corporate co-innovation knowledge with SC Angels to facilitate the latter’s innovation efforts.
