<h3>Spout Entertainment acquires Alienware Arena</h3>
Singapore-based <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/spout360" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=http://www.spoutgroup.com/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1496553326204000&amp;usg=AFQjCNG1RyoHutTLUMHkfI0l2tlmXNH7OA">Spout Entertainment Group</a>, a media startup backed by the <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/reapra-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">REAPRA Group</a>, has acquired Alienware Arena, located in the Lucky Chinatown Mall, for an undisclosed sum.
Assets that the Spout Entertain Group owns include e-sports media portal <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://spout360.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=http://spout360.com/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1496553326204000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEXlaZCwY4rj_45cbufXQQehBwKrw">Spout360.com</a>, <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.spoutagency.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=http://www.spoutagency.com/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1496553326204000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHn0iHIrvagTpfJ-egeZaFf1J7Yow">Spout Agency</a>  &#8211; an e-sports influencer agency &#8211; and online education portal Cite that uses video-streaming to cater to emerging markets like Myanmar and the Philippines.
Daryl Teo, CEO-Founder of Spout Entertainment Group, reiterated the company&#8217;s commitment to do more for the regional esports ecosystem, with Spout360&#8217;s strong gaming coverage winning over the loyalty of younger media consumers.
Teo said, &#8220;Having an offline-to-online business model is key in Southeast Asia where cash-based transactions still account for the majority of the eCommerce purchases. Alienware Arena is one of the biggest gaming stadiums in the region and represents strong synergies for Spout as we deliver more events and tournaments for all Spouters.&#8221;
With plans for long-term consolidation, Spout is planning for upcoming Fifa, League of Legends tournaments and training academies coupled with a stage possessing live-streaming capabilities. It is also in the process of developing a gaming TV series.
<h3>HC Surgical to acquire stakes in two medical services firms</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/HC-Surgical-Specialists" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HC Surgical Specialists</a> has announced the proposed acquisition of stakes in two medical-related companies &#8211; Medinex and Medical L &amp; C Services (MLCS) – for an aggregate consideration of S$5.4 million.
This will see HC Surgical acquire a 49 per cent equity stake in Medinex for S$4.3 milliono from Jessie Low Mui Choo, who holds 95 per cent of the issued shares in the firm. The firm is a management and service provider for the medical clinics industry.
In addition, it will acquire 51 per cent of MLCS from Lai Junxu, who owns its entire issued share capital, for a consideration of S$1.1 million. MCLS engaged in providing chronic home care and palliative care. He will be employed by HC Surgical as a family physician, as well as manage MLCS for a minimum of 10 years.
Subject to completion of the proposed acquisition, HC Surgical says it will enter into a separate agreement to buy out the remaining 49 per cent of MCLS from Lai in the future.
