According to the company’s announcement on Tuesday, the deal was made through cash and Wedever will function as a separate entity under Venuerific upon closure of the deal.
Wedever, founded by a NUS business graduate Nicholas Koh, is a e-marketplace that allows couples to quickly find venues within their budget without spending time on emailing or calling each of them.
Besides, it also provides cost estimates for alternative spaces such as cafes and restaurants.
“We have steadily built a strong foothold in the events industry by being able to provide the accessibility to unique venue spaces for corporate and social events. With the acquisition of Wedever, my team and I are looking forth to venturing into this promising wedding industry and making it a more hassle-free journey for couples to host their special day as well as enlarging the boundaries of wedding venues,” Ricardo Sentosa, the Co-founder and CEO of Venuerific, said.
He added Venuerific plans to expand Wedever to other countries in Southeast Asia in 2019.
