<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=SingEx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SingEx</a>, a wholly owned unit of Singapore&#8217;s state investment firm <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Temasek" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Temasek</a>, on Wednesday announced investing an undisclosed sum in UK-based content and events firm <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Unbound Innovations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Unbound Innovations</a>.
The development comes a day after Temasek announced that it picked up a minority investment in California-based IT services firm UST Global reportedly for $250 million.
The investment in Unbound includes the formation of a joint venture between the two companies. While no financial details were disclosed, a <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2018/06/28/temasek-unbound/">TechCrunch report</a>, quoting sources, said that SingEx bought a majority share in Unbound in a deal that values the company at £18 million, or around $23.5 million.
Citing another source, it said that investment from SingEx is expected to be around $12 million.
The investment will enable Unbound to double its existing operations and expand into new markets and new verticals through a mix of acquisitions and organic growth opportunities, the UK-based company said.
SingEx is a business events organiser in Asia with a network spanning across the region including China and India.
Founded by Daniel Seal in 2013, Unbound works in the three areas of event execution, content creation and discovery programmes for corporates, brands, governments and startups. Danny Kessler was one of the founding angel investors in Unbound and will continue as a co-founder and strategic advisor to the business, the statement added.

As of March 31, 2017, Temasek Holdings had a net portfolio value of S$275 billion ($197 billion).
