Startups in the Asia-Pacific region will be competing for a prize money of up to $87000 (AUD$100,000) in the ozAPP Awards, a competition for innovative online apps.
Slated for February 2015, the ozAPP Awards seek to find the region’s best mobile, web and cloud app concepts.The competition also aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between innovators, researchers, investors and industry, and to further stimulate innovative business culture around Australia.
The ozAPP Awards is an initiative by Curtain University and global venture capitalist Bill Tai, a regular investor in Australian startups.
Opened last August, the deadline for submissions is on December 5. The final judging will be held in Perth, Western Australia, where the top five finalists will be able to pitch their products to the leading VC’s, tech judges and industry heavyweights from across the globe.
